The solo miner mined a block on the bitcoin network on August 18, 2023 with the number 803,821 and received a reward of 6.25 BTC (over $160k).

According to a calculator on, at the current difficulty of mining bitcoin, the chance of a single miner with that kind of power mining a block is about 1 in eight years.

In January 2022, a single miner with a computing power of 126 TH/s mined a block of bitcoin and received a reward of 6.25 BTC, which at the time was approximately $270k at an exchange rate of $42.8k. His odds were one in 1.36 million.

In May 2023, a solo-mode miner was able to mine a block of bitcoin on hardware with a processing power of 750 terahash per second (TN/s).
